As part of Kidfest, the QF Children's Sandcastle Competition will be once again part of the Parksville Public Beach for a few hours.

Who knows - there may be an undiscovered sand sculptor in your family! Dianna Rivard and her team of Quality Foods staff volunteers invite young builders to find out. "We hope to see local children and visitors alike coming out to carve their sand creations on Sunday, August 17th."

The sandcastle event is free and open to ages twelve and under. "With the tides and weather on our side and dozens of prizes and medals, we anticipate a lot of happy children at the event," says Rivard.

Registration goes until 10:30 and all age groups begin building at 11:00am. Registration forms and rules can be picked up from any Quality Foods store or download here.

The first rule of the QF Children’s Sandcastle Competition? All teams must have fun!
