Ingredients
1 675g package Bun Sized Wiener
10 – 12 slices Mitchell’s Bacon, chopped and cooked crisp
10 Western Family hot dog buns, split
1 320g package Old Cheddar, shredded
Ketchup or BBQ sauce – optional
Directions
  1. Heat oven to broil setting. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook hot dogs per stove top directions.
  3. Remove onto a plate lined with paper towel.
  4. Place buns split side up onto prepared baking sheet.
  5. Sprinkle a scant amount of cheese into each bun.
  6. Place a hot dog over top.
  7. Sprinkle remaining cheese over hot dogs and top with chopped bacon.
  8. Place baking sheet in center rack of oven and broil for 2 to 3 minutes. Cheese should be completely melted and bacon should be golden and crisp.

    Serve immediately.

TIPS:

Easily prepare on the bbq using the same method. Once hot dogs are grilled. Place into buns with toppings. Place baking sheet on one side of grill. Turn heat off that one side and close the lid for a few minutes checking frequently until cheese has melted.
